Assignment 3 - Translation Corpus

چکیده
In this assignment I chose to create a bilingual corpus (Bulgarian English) aligned at word and sentence level. The text is not one typically used in such cases since it is a literary text belles lettres. These are notoriously difficult to align because of the freedom the human translator has taken aiming at achieving the same effects as the original work. The original text is a short part of a longer novel “The Blue Stairway” by the author Elena Alexieva and was taken from the following web page www.slovo.bg. The translation of the same text is also taken from the same web site.
